Divorce is indeed a nightmare for everyone! Princess Margaret and Anthony Armstrong-Jones![]()
Princess Margaret married photographer Anthony Armstrong-Jones in 1960, and their first child, David, was born the following year, followed by their daughter, Lady Sarah, in 1964. Throughout their marriage, both Margaret and Anthony had extramarital affairs, which led to their divorce in 1978. Despite the fact that Anthony remarried and later divorced, the princess and Anthony remained close until her death in 2002.
Prince Charles and Princess Diana
In 1981, the couple married in a fairytale ceremony at St. Paul’s Cathedral, and their sons, Prince William and Prince Harry were born in 1982 and 1984, sequentially. In 1994, two years after their divorce in 1992, Prince Charles confirmed that he had been unfaithful to Diana in a television interview. In 1996, their divorce was formalized.
Peter Phillips and Autumn Kelly
After 12 years of marriage, Peter Philps and Autumn Kelly have finalized their divorce. In February 2020, Philip and Kelly acknowledged that they had split in 2019 and were going to divorce. Autumn and Peter decided that this was the best decision for their two daughters, Savannah and Isla, as well as for their friendship. The decision to divorce and split custody came after months of deliberation and, while sad, was reached amicably.
Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson
Andrew and Sarah were said to have known one another from childhood and got married in 1986 at Westminster Abbey. Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, their children, were born in 1988 and 1990, sequentially. The pair grew apart and announced their separation in 1992. Four years later, they completed their divorce. Andrew and Sarah are still together at Royal Lodge in Windsor and have a fantastic relationship.
