Cath Kidston Releases Variation on Princess Charlotte’s Backpack
By now you’ve probably been blessed by these two photos of Princess Charlotte all ready for her first day of nursery school. The Duchess of Cambridge snapped two photos of her little royal donning an adorable red peacoat with matching Mary Jane shoes, but the thing that caught everyone’s attention was Princess Charlotte’s backpack. The 2-year-old was bound for Willcocks Nursery School in London.
Although barely visible in these two photos tweeted by the Kensington Palace staff, Princess Charlotte’s backpack in baby pink by Cath Kidston managed to steal a bit of her spotlight. (Gasp!)
In case you aren’t familiar with Cath Kidston, the London-based brand has made a name for its preppy, vintage-style women and children’s apparel and accessories since 1993. Twitter buzzed with admiration over the toddler’s backpack, officially called the “Pony Rucksack.” Admiration quickly turned to dismay as a brand spokesperson confirmed that the Pony Rucksack was discontinued after the spring/summer 2017 season.
Not to fret: You can still buy the backpack. Well, not exactly, but it looks pretty similar. On Jan. 15, Cath Kidston released the Prancing Ponies Kids Mini Rucksack.
How adorable! Who knew that Cath Kidston’s newest style ambassador would be a toddler — and a royal one at that? We certainly approve. What do you think of Princess Charlotte’s backpack? Let us know in the comments, and don’t forget to SHARE with any other moms obsessed with Charlotte’s style.
